Quests

There are a few quests available in the game. While none are strictly required for progression, completing them is recommended for their unique rewards—especially those in the Newbie Dungeon. Note that some quest NPCs may have varying names due to periodic respawns.

Newbie Dungeon

Capo Quests

• NPC: Capo
• Start Commands: Say Quest 1, Quest 2, or Quest 3
• Objective: Defeat bosses in the Newbie Dungeon to retrieve magical reagents:
  • Chief Orc: Drops Magical Ginseng (Quest 1)
  • Chief Zombie: Drops Magical Nightshade (Quest 2)
  • Chief Spider: Drops Magical Mandrake Root (Quest 3)
• Completion Commands: Say Complete Orc Quest, Complete Zombie Quest, or Complete Spider Quest
• Rewards:
  • Quest 1: 4th Circle Spells
  • Quest 2: 5th Circle Spells
  • Quest 3: 6th Circle Spells

Jess Quest

• NPC: Jess
• Start Command: Say Quest
• Objective: Defeat the Chief Scorpion in the Newbie Dungeon to retrieve the Gem of the Spirit.
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 7th Circle Spells

Britain

Nurse Jun

• Location: Near the entrance to the Britain Sewers
• Start Command: Say Quest
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 500 gold per certificate

Knobbler

• Location: Near Nurse Jun
• Start Command: Say Quest
• Objective: Defeat De Berg (located northeast of the quest giver)
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 15,000 gold

Garrett, the Ranger & Morrian (Part 1)

• Location: Morrian (Pub near Britain Bank) or Garrett (South East Britain)
• Note: Players can only accept this quest from one of the two NPCs.
• Start Command: Say Hi, then Accept to receive a scroll.
• Objective: Deliver the scroll to Belek.
  • Note: If you open the scroll against instructions, visit Tono Groopa in Skara Brae and say Fix then Agree to repair it.
• Reward: 15,000 gold

Belek (Part 2)

• Requirement: Must complete Part 1 first
• Objective: Retrieve the Golden Staff located in the Yew Crypts (East of the Yew Moongate).
• Completion Command: Return to Belek and say Reward
• Reward: None

Aran Shiftblade (Part 3)

• Requirement: Must complete Part 2 first
• Reward: Dark Ranger Dragon Statue, 20,000 gold, and a world-wide broadcast message

Kevin

• Location: East Britain
• Start Command: Say Hi
• Objective: Defeat the Evil Piper
• Reward: World Message and 1,000 gold

Minoc

Garth

• Location: Near the Minoc Bank
• Start Command: Say Hi, then Quest, then Agree
• Completion Command: Say Collect
• Reward: 750 gold

Clarissa

• Location: Near the bridge to Minoc Cave
• Start Command: Say Hi, then Quest
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 10,000 gold and a world message

Serpent’s Hold

Shrek

• Location: Near the Serpent's Hold Telepad
• Start Command: Say Hi, then Quest
• Objective: Locate Lady Fiona inside Fire Dungeon.
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 5,000 gold and a world message

Cove

Darcey

• Location: Road intersection leading to Minoc, Britain, and Vesper
• Start Command: Say Hi, then Quest
• Objective: Retrieve Darcey's staff
• Completion Command: Say Reward
• Reward: 4,000 gold and a world message

Britain Territory

Edwin

• Location: South of the Britain Bridge
• Requirement: Negative Karma and Player Killer (PK) status required
• Start Command: Say Hi, Quest, then Agree
• Completion Command: Say Staff
• Reward: 3,000 gold and a world message

Buccaneer’s Den

Lenard

• Location: Local Pub
• Start Command: Say Quest, then Agree
• Procedure:

1. Say Location to get details on the target.
2. Locate Old Man Flynn and say Lenard.
3. Retrieve the 3 requested items (say item names to Flynn for location clues).
4. Return to Old Man Flynn and say Complete.
5. Return to Lenard and say Reward.

• Reward: 1,000 gold, World Message, and Wrestler Outfit

Hythloth

Harper

• Start Command: Say Quest, then Agree
• Objective: Defeat Flint inside Hythloth Dungeon.
• Completion Command: Say Collect
• Reward: 2,000 gold

Covetous

Covetous Level 5 Quest

• Location: Final level of Covetous Dungeon (no starter NPC required)
• Reward: 8,500 gold and a world message
