In JIMUO there are two types of vendors, server controlled and player controlled. The server controller can be found everywhere in the map. All towns have several types of server vendors but here we will explain the ones available for your control, player vendors. Player vendors can be found only in Moonglow. Upon renting a vendor, you will be able to sell your own items and equipment for your desired prices without having to stay logged in. A player vendor can hold up to 50 items at a time and the prices can be anything you want them to be.
To rent a vendor, you need to find a green sign, which means that the vendor doesn’t belong to any other player yet. Once you’ve found a vendor in a location available and suitable for your desire it’s time to rent it. To do this you’re required to have the money for the price of the vendor in your backpack and it will not work if the money is in your bank account. The price of rental is 12500 gold. Renting the shop is done by double clicking the green sign and clicking Rent As Shop.
After renting the vendor the NPC will appear, this is the NPC that will hold, sell and distribute your items. To put items up for sale your recommended to first close your vendor, simply by saying ‘Close’. Now write ‘Stock’ to open the vendor stock, simply drag and drop the items you wish to sell in this area. To select a price, write ‘Price 8500’ to price an item at 8500 coins or whatever your desired price is.
Having a vendor doesn’t come for free. When you first rent the vendor it will only have 4 days of rent paid, so unless you pay the rent for more days you will lose the vendor and all the items for sale after the 4 days pass. Rent is paid by double clicking on the vendor sign and pay, again, money must be placed in your backpack and not in your bank account.
Vendor Menu
When double clicking the vendor sign you are presented with a menu where you can pay the shop rent, lock items, free the room, and change properties like shop name, vendor title, and sign type as well as access your bank account. To pay the rent for one day you have to select the first option “Extend rent time by 24 hours” and then click ‘Continue’. You need to have the money inside your backpack and you can pay the vendor rent to a maximum of 7 days. Clicking in the second option “Access commercial menu” will bring a new menu on your screen. In this menu you can change the shop name, the sign type, the vendors title or access your bank account by clicking in the blue icon before each option. And to change the vendor name you only need to drag his health bar and edit it. The third option “Lock/Unlock Item” allows you to lock up to 3 items near your vendor like a table, a chair, a book or anything else you want to display outside your vendor. The fourth menu is all the commands you need to use in order to maintain your vendor. And the fifth and last option “Free the room” means you will lose your player vendor and free the room for someone else. Any item still in your player vendor stock will be moved to your bank account.
Vendor Commands
Vendor commands are used to open and close the shop, to add items to stock, to set item prices and to get the cash earned from item sales. To use a command you just need to be near your player vendor and say the respective word.
- Open – Opens the vendor to allow trading.
- Close – Closes the vendor to forbid trading.
- Stock – Opens the vendor stock to add and remove items for sale.
- Price X – Allows you to price any items inside your stock at any desired price.
- Status – Tells you how many items and how much gold your vendor currently holds.
- Cash – Withdraws all the earned coins currently in your vendor.
