Skillrolls is a simple feature that allows you to check your percentage of gaining skillpoints while training and what action gives the highest chance for rolling. To enable skillrolls simply type .skillrolls and while performing actions, you will now see a message for example: [Hiding(21.2%): need 4.7% or lower, got 35.1%]. So what does everything mean? It’s simple, the first bit will tell you what skill you are rolling in, which is hiding in this case. The first number, (21.2%), will tell you how close you are to gaining skill and once it reaches 100%, you will gain skill. The second and the third numbers are connected to something else, On this shard you don’t just gain by having enough experience, see it like an experience bar. You also gain skill at random times. Imagine it like rolling a dice with 1000 sides, the first number (4.7%) is what you need to roll below in order to gain skill, and the second number is what you just rolled (35.1%). Obviously, the higher the second number (4.7%) is, the faster and higher chances you have of gaining skill. When you gain a skill by rolling lower then needed, your experience bar (first numbers) are reset to 0%.
The skillrolls are different for all actions, animals, spells and crafts, take magery for example. Casting a spell such as Night Sight might give you a chance of gaining skill at 2.3%, which is very low, while the spell Reveal might give you a chance of gaining skill at 14.2%, which is very high.
