The point of macros in Ultima Online is to provide you with a quick access to all the spells, skills and function you’ll need. Functions like Opening Doors, automatically open Bank, Buy from Shops, offensive spells, defensive spells and more. 

Macros are an extremely personal setup, what works for me, may not work for you. Use this guide roughly, and experiment and customize your own personal hotkey setup.

Using Orion, Macros can either be created in two ways – within the client, or outside the client.

Within the Client

Open the options menu. You can make as many profiles as you like, these carry across multiple characters. It is recommended to make a profile for each type of gameplay, for instance a profile for a miner, or trader, and a profile for a warrior or pvper.

You should then navigate to the Macros page, and create any macro you wish, selecting which key should trigger it

Outside the Client

Orion also has a companion window that starts with the client. This also allows you to create a profile (much like the above) and configure hotkeys to do whatever you want

These are the macros that you could use

• Alt+S – Status Bar
• Alt+B – Spellbook
• Alt+C – War / Peace
• Alt+P – Paperdoll
• Alt+K – Skills
• Alt+J – Journal
• Alt+I – Backpack
• Alt+R – Map
• Alt+O – Options
• Cntrl+B – Bow
• Cntrl+S – Salute
• 8 – All Names (Useful Macro to see everyone names)
• Alt+A – Open Door (Useful Macro to open doors)
• Alt+X – Last Object (Useful Macro to use last objects. You need to use the objects first before using this macro)
• Alt+Z – Bandage Self (Useful Macro, you need to have Clean Bandages with you. Also if you disable the New Targeting System and the Menu Bar it stops working. Needs to be enabled)

• Alt+1 – Potion 9 (Greater Mana Potion)
• Alt+2 – Potion 5 (Refresh Potion)
• Alt+3 – Potion 12 (Cure Potion)
• Alt+4 – Potion 13 (Greater Cure Potion)

• Cntrl+X – Next Target (One of your main macros to set a target)
• Alt+F1 – Spell Magic Arrow (One of your main macros to set a target. Tip: You can use this macro to set a target and immediately afterwards press tab to fizzle your spell if you don’t want to cast.)

• Alt+D – Arm/Disarm LeftHand (Useful Macro to put a double-handed / left handed weapon to your hand from your backpack. You need to have the weapon / shield on your hand first to use this macro.)
• Alt+F – Attack Last (Your main macro to attack. First you need to set a target with the above macros. Then you use this macro to attack.)

• Alt+Q – Circle Transparency (Use this to see objects behind walls.)
• Alt+Shift – All Objects (Use this to see all objects within your window.)
• Alt+W – Say .skillrolls (Use this when you are macroing to see if you are raising a skill.)

• F7 – Hiding (Use this to hide)
• F8 – Meditation (Use this to regenerate mana)

Spells

These ones are more PvP related. Can be also used to kill mobs.

• F1 – Spell Magic Arrow – Last Target
• F2 – Spell Lightning – Last Target
• F3 – Spell Poison – Last Target
• F4 – Spell Harm – Last Target
• F5 – Spell Flame Strike – Last Target
