It isn’t easy being good at PvP. You can have the best armor in the game but if you don’t know how to use it you will die very fast.
The main way to PvP in this shard is by using Mage and Combat Skills.
Here are a few tips to be good at PvP.
1- Setting up the Macros
You need to set your Macros. If you don’t know how to do it click here.
Get familiarized with these macros.
2- You won’t be good at first
You won’t be good at first. You will need a lot of practice.
You can practice at the Cowpen. Cowpen has arenas that you can practice with your friends without losing armor.
3- Learning Timings
Every spell has their cast time. Flamestrike takes longer than any other offensive spell. Poison, Harm and Lighting takes almost the same time. Get to know their timings.
4- Your Items
You must have Regs and Potions with you.
You need Greater Manas, Refreshes, Cure Poison and Greater Heals. Although situations may vary and you might not need Greater Heals or Refreshes.
Use Greater Manas when you are low on Mana and use Cure Poison when you are poisoned. It’s not always advised to use these pots at those situation, you have to judge it by yourself.
Using Greater Strengths and Greater Permanences is good for Spelling Up.
Remember your (Alt+1) is your macro to drink Greater Manas, (Alt+3) Cure Potions and (Alt+4) Greater Cure Potions.
5- Setting a Target
To get the target and if you are using our Macros use (Alt+F1) and click the person you want to attack. If can also target your opponent using (Cntrl+X)
6- Spelling Up
Before every fight you should Spell Up.
Cntrl+Z – Spell Protection
Cntrl+C – Spell Magic Reflection
Cntrl+V – Spell Reactive Armor
Cntrl+N – Spell Bless
These spells will make you temporarily stronger.
7- Offensive Spells
F1 – Magic Arrow
This very useful spell is good to fizzle the opponent spells.
F3 -Poisoning
It’s a must in every fight. You should try to keep your opponent always poisoned.
F4 or F2 – Harm and Lighthing
These are your main damage spells. Always cast these when you have nothing else to do.
F5 – Flamestrike
This your strongest spell. Takes more time but if you land it you can take almost half hp of your target.
8- Heal yourself
Never fight with Low HP or poisoned. Always cure your poison and heal yourself.
If you get poison, you MUST cure yourself, use a pot (Alt+4) or use spell cure (Cntrl + a)
9- Fizzle
Always fizzle spells that you think that will land on you. Never let a Poison hit you. Always fizzle with Magic Arrow. It’s better to spam Magic Arrow than dying.
10- Line of Sight
You need to know how to use LOS. LOS is used with the obstacles that are in the way, like stones, boulders, trees, anything that blocks the view from the other player.
Use them to your advantage. If you can’t fizzle a spell with a offensive spell, you must use LOS to fizzle it. Hide behind something, hide their vision.
11- Use Weapons
Depends mostly on the situation.
If you have Combat Skills and if you are near the opponent you should try to hit it with your weapon. Using your weapons is very useful if used correctly.
Double Handed weapons are mostly used. To set your weapons to a macro, just equip the weapon and use (Alt+D). Not it’s set. Every time you want to use the weapon use (Alt+D) and also use (Alt+F) which is the Attack Last macro.
12- Dispelling
Dispelling your opponent is a very smart move. It may be the one thing that determines whether you lose or not.
If you get dispelled make sure you Spell Up again. Or at least use Cntrl+Z . Protection spell is more effective.
