How to PvP

It isn’t easy being good at PvP. You can have the best armor in the game, but if you don’t know how to use it, you will die very fast.

The main way to PvP on this shard is by combining Magery and Combat Skills.

1. Setting up the Macros

You need to configure your macros properly. Get familiarized with your keybindings before entering combat.

2. You Won’t Be Good at First

You will need a lot of practice to get comfortable.

You can practice at the Cowpen. Cowpen features arenas where you can duel and practice with friends without losing your armor.

3. Learning Timings

Every spell has a specific cast time.

Flamestrike takes longer than any other offensive spell. Poison, Harm, and Lightning take almost the same amount of time. Get to know these timings to chain your attacks effectively.

4. Your Items

You must carry reagents and potions at all times. Essential potions include Greater Mana, Refresh, Cure Poison, and Greater Heal.

Use Greater Mana potions when low on mana and Cure Poison when poisoned.

Using Greater Strength and Greater Permanence potions is recommended when Spelling Up.

Default potion keybindings:

Alt + 1: Drink Greater Mana

Alt + 3: Cure Potion

Alt + 4: Greater Cure Potion

5. Setting a Target

To set a target using the standard macros, press Alt + F1 and click the player you want to attack. You can also target an opponent using Ctrl + X.

6. Spelling Up

Before entering a fight, you should always Spell Up:

Ctrl + Z: Cast Protection

Ctrl + C: Cast Magic Reflection

Ctrl + V: Cast Reactive Armor

Ctrl + N: Cast Bless

7. Offensive Spells

F1 - Magic Arrow: Fast spell used to interrupt (fizzle) opponent spellcasts.

F3 - Poison: Essential in every fight. Keep your opponent constantly poisoned.

F4 / F2 - Harm & Lightning: Main damage spells. Cast these consistently between utility actions.

F5 - Flamestrike: Strongest offensive spell. Takes longer to cast, but a landed hit can take off nearly half of your target's health.

8. Heal Yourself

Never fight with low health or while poisoned. Always cure poison immediately and maintain your health pool.

If poisoned, cure yourself using a Greater Cure Potion (Alt + 4) or the Cure spell (Ctrl + A).

9. Fizzle

Interrupt spells that are about to land on you. Never let a Poison spell hit cleanly. Spam Magic Arrow to interrupt incoming casts.

10. Line of Sight (LOS)

Line of Sight utilizes environmental obstacles such as rocks, boulders, and trees to block direct vision between players.

If you cannot interrupt an opponent's spellcast with an offensive spell, step behind terrain to break LOS and cause their spell to fizzle.

11. Use Weapons

If you have Combat Skills and are within melee range, swing your weapon between spellcasts.

Two-handed weapons are commonly used. To bind your weapon, equip it and press Alt + D. To initiate attacks, use Alt + D to equip and Alt + F (Attack Last).

12. Dispelling

Dispelling your opponent strips their protective buffs. If you are dispelled, immediately re-apply your buffs, prioritizing Protection (Ctrl + Z).
